If growth estimates are correct, this figure will expand exponentially in the near future. That’s why it’s becoming more and more important to produce mobile-friendly websites that can provide a premium browsing experience. e of the GTA’s biggest Fireplace, Furnace, Air Conditioner, and BBQ’s specialists. Three years ago they approached N49 looking to modernize their online presence. We delivered with a sleek and functional website. The mobile project we have launched today is an extension of that site, sharing the same custom content management systems for easy administrative control over specials, products, etc. Any update from the back end of the desktop site will produce identical changes on the mobile site. The main difference is that the content is formatted specifically for mobile devices with appropria
te font, simple layout, and intuitive buttons for touch-phones.
Included with every mobile site we build is a one page WAP site designed for non-smart phone browsers. While these devices occupy a small percentage of the mobile market, we feel strongly that providing multi-platform access to a variety of consumers is an important aspect of any online strategy.
As with our desktop sites, we always consider SEO when working on a mobile project. Google has a unique bot that indexes only mobile content that is WAP-accessible. Having a WAP site gives a website a leg up in this search space.
