N49 Donates over $300 to three amazing Canadian charties!

In the spirit of Christmas, N49 has decided to make donations to three amazing Canadian charities this afternoon! As part of our Donation Dollars program, N49 Interactive donates a portion of our revenue to Canadian charities. For every member review we donate one dollar to the charity selected by the user.

On behalf of our N49 Reviewers we are sending a cheque to Easter Seals Canada, Bridges of Hope International and the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

How do donation dollars work?

N49 is proud to partner with over 20 Canadian Charities. For each member review we donate one dollar to a charity selected by that user, up to a maximum of $5000.00. N49 users are doing their part by helping local businesses get feedback, helping consumers find great services, and helping charitable organizations in our communities.

As part of our Donation Dollars program, N49 Interactive donates a portion of our revenue to Canadian charities. For every member review we donate one dollar to the charity selected by the user.

Today, on behalf of our N49 Reviewers, we are sending a check to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada for $280.00.

How do donation dollars work?

1. FREE LISTINGS FOR ALL

Any business can add a free listing along with an unlimited photo gallery, video gallery and more.

2. FREE WEBSITES
Don’t have one? No problem! Businesses that don’t have a website (or even a domain name) can get one for free, compliments of n49.ca. Azevedo.kitchens.ca is an example of a free site that anyone can build in minutes.

3. IT’S A WIKI
Anyone can add or edit any listing (unless the listing is paid). This includes adding photos, videos, articles, etc.

4. VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO
Business listings can include one or more videos and members can add videos to reviews and profiles.

5. THE DOMAINS
n49 incorporates many generic domain names so you can find what you’re looking for fast! Looking for somewhere to dine? Check out www.Dining.ca – it’s that easy!

6. USER REVIEWS
Anybody can review any business in Canada and add photos or video. Members can comment on reviews and businesses can respond.

7. REVIEW MANAGEMENT
Any business can print out custom review cards to hand out, add “review us” buttons to website and emails, and even get automatic review feeds right on their website.

8. QUICK QUOTE
Many categories have a Quick Quote feature that makes it easy for members to get free quotes from companies – get quotes for anything from business cards, caterers or home renovations!

9. DONATION DOLLARS
We donate $1 to charity for every review our members write. The reviewer can choose where the dollar goes from a list of charities!

10. MEMBER COMMUNITY
Every member gets their own profile – like silver.n49.ca – and can friend other members. You can even join n49 with a Facebook account!

DONATION DOLLARS

We are pleased to announce that we will be running with DONATION DOLLARS until the end of 2008. Over that period our goal is to donate $100,000 to charity. October brought in $580, with most of it going to The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. November’s featured charity is The Canadian Diabetes Association.

The idea is simple. YOU review any business. WE donate $1 to the charity of your choice. Money otherwise wasted on advertising? No, it’s just our way of saying THANKS for making n49 better while helping people in need.

You can select the charity you want to receive the dollars (in your edit profile). We have 25 and counting. Let us know if we are missing your favourite charity and we will try to add it.

Popular reviews, as determined by N49 members, are eligible for Double Donation Dollars. Photos and videos included in your review will increase its eligibility. Already reviewed lunch, then how about your fitness club? Would you recommend it?
